Two Giveaways and a Snowflake Layout

Happy Friday all, Pam with you today on the blog. Christmas will be here soon.. so we are doing two giveaways today. I will also be sharing what I have done with my annual Christmas photo my family takes every year!

The first thing I will be sharing is a layout I created to fit this photo perfectly. One of my most favorite things about the Jolly Good collection is the colors. I just love that in addition to traditional colors of red, green, and white, this collection includes a soft blue, pink, orange, and grey. Here is the layout I created with the softer tones. Layout inspired by our December Guest Designer, Paige Evans.

Supplies used: Chickaniddy Crafts Jolly Good papers: Caroling/ jg14os03, Holiday/ jg14os08, Sweater Weather/ jg14os04, Tis The Season/  jg14os11. Chickaniddy Embellishments: Enamel Stars/ jg14eb09, Illustration Stickers/ jg14eb01, Mini Sentiment Stickers/ jg14eb07, Mini Sticker Tags/ jg14eb06.

Here is how I created my page. I normally choose a ton of papers for each layout, but for this layout I just chose a few.  One of my favorite papers is the "B" side paper of the Caroling collection.  It has four quadrants that are just perfect for my page.

First, I created my own snowflake image and I cut it out with my Silhouette. I was inspired by quilting and also some awesome graphic images online using triangles and snowflakes. You can achieve this look by picking out your own favorite snowflake and using that as a base. There are a bunch in the Silhouette Store. Next, I cut out three different sized triangles and used them on the snowflake.

After adding triangles and some stitching and embellishments, I was happy with the result of the quilted snowflake!

Onto the giveaways!

Heidi created TWO FREE Christmas Card Templates for you to use as your photo holiday card. Here are two versions that I will be choosing from. Which one do you think I should choose and why?

I have attached these in two different ways. For people who have a digital editing program, you can add  your photo and text digitally and then print! Go ahead and save these JPEG files onto your computer and then open them in your preferred program.

I would love to use this holiday collection to make tags for my baked goods that I give out to friends and teachers. I like both of the picture cards, but the colorful choice is my favorite. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

That holiday collection is one of my favorites. I love it and hope to get it soon! I would love to create a mini Christmas album with it! A little mini book of Edward’s first 5 Christmases! I love the second card with the little banners. It adds so much more details to the card!

I will be making a gingerbread house with my granddaughter (her first ever). So this occasion calls for some pretty and colorful papers.

I could use a lot of the Jolly Good papers in my Art classes for my students to use for their Mother’s Day cards. The pretty colors would be perfect for their cards.

DELIGHTFUL layout Pam – LOVE the hexagon photo and the amazing triangles – THANK YOU for the INSPIRATION!!!
THANK YOU for sharing the card templates too 🙂
I think you should use the 2nd template, the white sentiment panel in the 1st one sort of merges with your top, there is much better contrast in the 2nd one. Also, the red in the 2nd template is balanced perfectly with your son’s top.
As for Jolly Good, it would be JOLLY GOOD if I was the lucky winner – I would use it to create bundles of FUN pop up / box cards and to make some pretty pocket pages to celebrate family Christmas photos – THANK YOU for the chance to win 🙂
