Crafter Spotlight

It's Sunday and time for another scrapbooker to be in the spotlight! Our artist on the blog today, Stacey Schafer, creates some really beautiful cards! We love the way she paper crafts. She will be sharing two cards with us, so get ready for some great card inspiration. First let's get to know Stacey.

Stacy

"I'm a wife, mom of three, full-time special education teacher, scholastic bowl coach...and avid paper-crafter!  Even when I'm the most busy, I carve out a little time to get crafty...crafting is my "me time!"  I started scrapbooking in 2000 when my first baby was born, wanting to document every moment.  Then, once I attended a card class in 2007, I was hooked on making cards and other small gift items, too!  A bit later I started my own blog, Stacey's Stamping Stage, to share projects and through this I have met wonderful friends who share the same passion for paper-crafting!

When I begin working on a card or gift item, the first thing I reach for is patterned paper...don't know what I'd do without it!

I am excited to share a couple of cards I've created using the Chickaniddy Crafts Date Night Collection and Twirly Girly Collection."

"My Kind of Guy" Card

"For this first card, I wanted to create a masculine-themed card for my special guy!  I used the cityscape patterned paper as a background, the navy speckled patterned paper for the dog die cut and banner, the wood paneled patterned paper for the hydrant, bone charm and bit of margin layer, and phrasing patterned paper...all from Chickaniddy Crafts Date Night Collection."

"For my second card, I went with an ultra feminine approach using Chickaniddy Crafts Twirly Girly!  I used several coordinating patterns from Twirly Girly for background, hand-cut banners, framing shapes and die cuts.  I adore the dotted/confetti-like patterns with soft and sweet florals in this collection!"
