Pinspiration Card

Carson Riutta Chickaniddy Crafts My SmileHello Chickaniddy friends! Carson here. I'm so excited to be sharing my first post with you on the Chickaniddy blog today. I'm a card-maker, project lifer and art journal fanatic and I'm thrilled to be a new member of the Chickaniddy family.

I had the absolute pleasure this month of creating a card using the very inspirational September Pin Board compiled by the lovely ladies at Chickaniddy Crafts. From the board, I chose the four pictures you see below to help me create the card you see above. I was initially drawn to that gorgeous stack of translucent circles which I was able to recreate with my circle cutter and all the vibrant colors in the Scrumptious line of patterned papers. I have a serious crush right now on these papers, there is such a great mix of versatile patterns and colors, and the colors manage to capture the spirit of fall but still be fun and fresh.

The geometric triangles inspired my use of the yellow vellum and the ric rac was my source of inspiration for the zig-zag stitching. And of course, those vibrant leaves had to be included. The leaf stickers in the Scrumptious line are some of my favorites as well, a nice departure from my star and heart addictions but just as adorable.

The Scrumptious mini sticker tags made it very easy to finish off this card with the perfect sentiment. I simply had to settle on my favorite of the bunch, pop it up with some foam tape and the card was complete.

I hope I've inspired you to go out and find your own Pinspiration this fall. With the chill in the air and the leaves already beginning to change colors here in Washington State, it just feels right to start creating with a warmer color palette and some fall themed goodies. What about you? Do you enjoy changing up your craft supplies to mirror the changing seasons?

Hi Carson! Beautiful Card and I love the stitching details..Second to Spring is Fall among my favorite seasons. I love Fall for the “warm and cozy” color palette it inspires.
