We are sharing Danielle Flander's last guest designer project, which is a layout based on a sketch. She created such great projects the past month, we are sad to see her month is up. For her last project, we asked her to work with our April layout sketch. Here is what she created along with a preview of the sketch. The Chickaniddy Crafts girls will be working with this next week!
"I followed the April layout sketch loosely for my scrapbook page. First, I turned the sketch sideways and was inspired by the two larger sections for photos. I decided to use a tag from the Twirly Girly line and a photo together instead of two photos. To turn my photo into a tag shape, I printed a 3.5" x 3.5" photo onto a piece of 4 x 6" photo paper. This left a space under the photo to trim off the corners of the photo paper and add a punched gold paper circle and brad for the "reinforcer" on the tag. This photo was taken of all of the Flanders on Easter 2013... little did we know, it was our last Easter in New York with everyone, since we moved to Colorado shortly after that. I hung the tags on seam binding with little clothespins from my stash. The circles in the sketch were replaced with butterflies and randomly surround the photo. I used the "Family" sticker from the Twirly Girly line and incorporated it into my journaling. The journaling reads, "Now that we are in Colorado, we are certainly going to miss the holidays with the Flanders, esp. Easter when we all got together, second cousins (Lou and Laurie's family as well) for the egg hunt, pinata, etc. It's not quite the same without...FAMILY."
