Hi Chickaniddy friends! Allie with you today, and I have been so excited to share this layout! This is a special one for me because I challenged myself to use stamps, mix collections, and to NOT use pink! Those are some of my scrappy weaknesses that I wanted to defeat, and I knew the Scrumptious Mini Alpha stamps would be a perfect way to jazz up my layout.
Today's trend is diamonds. I love the diamond shape and don't use it often enough!

1. I used my Silhouette cameo to cut out diamonds from a sheet of the Date Night Backwoods Lovin' woodgrain paper.
2. Next, I went through my Chickaniddy stashed and grabbed green and orange patterns from the Twirly Girly, Scrumptious, and Date Night collections. I used one of the cut diamonds to trace and cut from each pattern in order to have the right size to back the background.
3. To create the background, I used washi tape to attach the diamonds on the backside of the paper. It looked pretty messy from the back!
4. Once all the diamonds were covered, I flipped it over and added my layers and photo. I placed the diamond stickers from each collection on each diamond.
5. After everything was in place, it was time to create the title! I used the super fun Scrumptious Mini Alpha clear stamps to stamp out my title in black ink. I cut each letter out, and adhered them to my page. You could use stickers for your title to create a faster page!
6. Finally, I added some stamps across the top and bottom of the page to tie in with the stamped title. I'm not a very experienced stamper, so I quickly eyeballed and tried to not over think it for a "messy" look.
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you feel inspired to create a page using diamonds!
Hey all, Pam with ya today sharing our first guest designer, Danielle Flanders. She is super duper talented and we are so lucky to have her! She will be sharing something for the next three Wednesdays so make sure you check back to see more of her projects.
Let's get to know her better first.
Hello! I'm honored to be here with Chickaniddy Crafts this month! I am a former K-8th grade elementary teacher turned stay-at-home-mom to two daughters. I also have a BS in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Currently, I'm a paper crafter and stamper working for PapertreyInk.com and feel lucky to be able to stay home, take care of my family, and do what I love. Blogging and sharing my creativity with others is certainly a daily passion of mine! I have always been "into" art of all sorts: drawing, painting, quilting, woodworking, and when my first daughter was born, I began scrapbooking to make a baby book for her. That is when my love of paper crafting began, 14 years ago! Since then, I've found the style I'm drawn to the most...I think I'd call it"Fresh Vintage". All things vintage and pretty capture my heart. With three of us girls, we love everything girly in our house. However, I love to add a modern twist with brighter colors and a happy, clean feel to update the vintage look. I love to layer. I'm passionate for color and pattern and always love to try new things (it's the Gemini in me)!

Hi there, Amélie here and today I’m very happy to share with you my first layout for Chickaniddy Crafts made with beautiful Date Night collection.
As you can see, I love layered paper and embellishments. To make this page, I began by adding a large strip of another pattern paper on the left side of my background. Next, I layered my picture on several papers from the collection. I also saved some Chickaniddy's packaging. I never stick my picture on borders because after I often add lots of little embellishments around.
On the right side of my picture, I played with diamonds stickers, I completed this wall of diamonds using stamps from Date Night collection
On the bottom, I created a garland of flowers using stickers, brads, stamps (flowers and leaves) and cutting some flowers from Awesome Blossom paper.
To finish, I just added some ink stains and stitching. I hope you will enjoy it! As I am concerned, I really enjoy to play with this fabulous collection, everything goes perfectly together!
Supplies:Paper (DN140S01, DN140S04, DN140S07, DN140S10, DN140S11), Mini Stickers (DN14EB03, DN14EB04), Sticker Sheet (DN14EB02), Brads (DN14EB06), Enamel Hearts (DN14EB07), Clear Stamps (DN14ST01)
Have a good day.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
In honour of this special occasion, I made a card using the fabulous Date Night collection by Chickaniddy Crafts.
And what better card to make for St. Patty's Day than one that includes some yummy mint green and the word "lucky'?
This gorgeous line was absolutely perfect!
Supplies: Paper (DN140S09; DN140S02) ; Clear Stamps (DN14ST01)
And here's my tip: Instead of trying to use dimensional adhesive on the back of word dies, die cut them several times from white card stock and adhere them together. Then, adhere a coloured die cut over top. This gives dimension and also makes them sturdier to work with.
I cut some strips of patterned paper (from Dance School & Together is Better)and laid them on an angle on my card stock.
Using the leaf & one floral image, I stamped on my white card stock base in light grey ink.
I stamped these same images repeatedly on a die cut banner and then added the sentiment over top in a darker shade of grey.
Finally, I stamped them in Versamark on some vellum and heat embossed the images in white before cutting them out by hand.
For my "lucky", I used a word die and die cut it from card stock three times: once in melon berry and twice in white. I adhered them together before adhering
it to my card.
I layered my card on a piece of the back of the Together is Better patterned paper.
Savannah O'Gwynn here, and I'm sooooooo thrilled to share my first Chickaniddy project with you today! I'm a huge fan of the Date Night collection! I loooooove the patterned papers, the colors, the little enamel hearts... and I LOVE the silver foil paper! SWOON:)
As I looked through my Date Night papers and embellishments, I found a journal tag that had a guitar on it. I knew instantly that I wanted to create a card for my husband using this tag- it's perfect since we are musicians! This card came together quickly after I found my inspiration.
I really enjoy mixing patterns and papers, and one of my favorite techniques for stamping includes "masking". I used this technique to make this horizontal sentiment into a vertical design! I love how this turned out!
1. Cut patterned papers and attach to card base.
2. Cut (fussy cut) journal card and attach to card.
3. Mask sentiment using blue painters tape/washi tape. Stamp each word individually and vertically next to journaling card.
4. Add stickers, banner, brads, and enamel hearts.
5. Complete card with a couple of mini staples.
This was a simple yet detailed card-- perfect for my husband! I love this new collection from Chickaniddy! I'm looking forward to sharing more creations using the Date Night collection!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:)
Today I have two cute cards to share. Both are by my homey Teri Anderson and just like every card she makes... they are super special and cool. So let's turn the time over to her.
Teri Anderson here with 2 cards I made. Let's start with the Chickaniddy Date Night collection. You know how they say, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend?" Well, I couldn't agree more. There's just something about those sparkly, shiny nuggets of goodness that make my heart pitter. To be honest, I'm pretty sure most of my best gal pals agree! So I thought how fun would it be to make a diamond-themed card to send to one of them".
"Card making is all about having fun so I decided to have some major fun by using patterned paper to make my diamonds. I simply inked up the diamond stamp from the Date Night clear stamp set with black ink and then stamped it repeatedly on pieces of pattern paper from the Date Night 6x6 paper pad. After that, I fussy cut the diamonds and then just lined them up on my card. I finished the card off with a sentiment from the stamp set.
"This next card is just a fun card with lots of happy elements. I really like mixing and matching patterns so that's what I did for the base of the card. I cut strips of six different papers from the collection and lined them up onto the card base. If you look really close, you'll see I used my sewing machine to add a few stitch lines with white thread to a couple of the papers".
"Then I got to the really fun part! I created the confetti and the sentiment with some of Chickaniddy's gold foil paper. Boy, I sure love Chickaniddy's foil papers. That's because they cut so easy with steel dies and punches! In fact, I cut the hello phrase with a steel die, and I created the confetti by punching circles with a circle punch from it. What I love is they look like they have dimension, but they are nice and flat so I can send this card in the mail without having to pay extra fees for being bulky. I finished the card off by adding a few stickers to it. Happy crafting".
Wasn't that fun?! I even love the way Teri writes. Thanks Teri for sharing these darling cards for a "Fast Fun Friday" Post.
I'm back today with a trendy card to share and this time it's from Heidi Van Laar. Here is what she had to say about it.
"I love so much that Chickaniddy included matching stamps as part of their collections! Lemme tell you these stamps are such a pleasure to work with too. I know we have all probably had the displeasure of working with the substandard stamps that come with some scrapbook collections, not so with these guys. They are Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y, comparable to any of the industry leaders and the images are so fun! Just look at the big ole diamond ring I created here...what girl wouldn't want that? 😉 What's really fun about this image is that it's actually two. The diamond and ring are separate which gives you so many more options! Here I stamped them together, embossed them in silver, colored with marker, then cut the image out".
"Though I wanted my diamond ring to be the star of this card, I couldn't resist adding a few Date Night Brads. That flower...LOVE! Creating this little cluster was so easy and little details like this just make me happy"!
Don't you just love that diamond?! Can I have one that size in real life? lol
