Hello! Allie with you today, and I have a fun Pinterest inspired layout to share! When I stumbled across this cool rug on Pinterest, I knew it had to become a layout. The graphic pattern is so fun and unique.
I love the square pattern, and used the Scrumptious collection to create my own spin on it! One thing that caught my attention with this rug is the way it looks doodled. The lines are imperfect and organic looking. I let this easy-going vibe translate to my page by not worrying about perfect lines and alignment. "Just wing it" was the theme behind this layout!
Chickaniddy Supplies Used: Paper (sc14os11, sc14os04, sc14os09, sc14os05, sc14os10), Gold Foil Paper (CN14SP001), Stickers (sc14eb01, sc14eb02)
This layout was easy to create!
1. Choose three patterned papers and cut five 2 3/4" squares from two patterns, and ten 2 3/4" squares from the other.
2. Use the gold foil paper and a 1" square punch to punch a small pile of gold squares.
3. Next, follow the design of the Pinterest image to place and adhere your squares to your background. I started from the top and worked my way down to have as even spacing as possible. I absolutely adore the B-side of the New Harvest paper, It makes a subtle yet elegant background!
4, After the background is complete, add your layers! I used several different pieces of Scrumptious in various sizes. Scraps work great for layering! Add your title and embellish your layout with stickers.
I added a few mist splatters to complete the page, but I accidentally spilled it on the side of the page! I covered it up with flower stickers and I love the end result even more!
Thank you for joining me today, I hope you leave feeling inspired!
Hello Monday and Friends! I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend and that you got everything done on your to do list. In just a little while we will all be putting together those holiday shopping lists and with that thought in mind today I wanted to share my favorite way to wrap a fast "no fuss" present using just a couple supplies. It's amazing what you can do with a piece of pattern paper and yarn!
I know that most people love videos, so here you go. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help.
Happy Wednesday. Today I am sharing the color scheme for July. It combines two tones of pink, a navy blue, and grey. What a fun color scheme. Let's see what the guest designer and two of the craft girls create with this!
Up first is our guest designer, Janna Werner. Today will be the last day for her projects. 🙁 We have so enjoyed having her as a guest designer with us! Take a look at her awesome projects she created today!
"The color scheme reminded me of parties, summer, sun and happiness. Therefore I created a card that can be used as invitation, a small envelope that could be used to hide a small present or a voucher and a paper bonbon that could also be used for small gifts or sweets. I like that the color scheme - although it includes pink - can be used for feminine, but also masculine projects or even baby themed projects."
Next up is Shellye with this project using the color scheme.
"Hello, everyone...Shellye bringing you an easy crafting project using this month's Color Scheme and a standard plastic badge holder. You can find vertical or horizontal badge holders/luggage tags at office supply stores, etc.
Today I am sharing a cute identification tag that I made for my daughter's dance bag. Not only does it add some cuteness to an ordinary bag, but it can also lend information as to whom the owner is and save a trip to the lost & found 🙂
Because the plastic holders are so inexpensive, they're ideal to make for craft bazaars or as party favors. I've found that the vertical holders (like above) are a bit roomier than some of the horizontal versions.
I cut the navy striped tag to size and then stitched on the matted floral print and ballerina card. You can add the child's name here, or use a simple sticker as I did followed by matching enamel hearts.
For the back, I cut a matching sized card from one of the 6X6 squares and then embellished with label stickers, a monogram letter and the initials of the dance studio. Use stickers or your own handwritting to further personalize the tag. And of course, the sweet crown brad was a must-have!
There are several ways that you can tie the tag to a bag, but I chose to use a large ring that I tied a bow onto. You can also find snaps that fit through the opening, or use a strand of ribbon.
With school starting next month for many kids, make a tag in school colors for their backpack or gym bag! Thank you for letting me share this project with you today at Chickaniddy Crafts!

Laurie is up last with a card using the color scheme.
"I think the color challenges are some of my favorites! There are some fabulous color combos that I might not have tried on my own but am so glad that I did! I mostly used papers and embellishments from the Twirly Girly collection with the exception of the blue paper (which is from the Date Night collection)! I also had to sneak in some Silver Surfer foil paper (love that stuff)!"
I hope you have enjoyed all of these projects with the color scheme. Give it a try yourself 😉
Hello everyone, Diane here, sharing a layout made with the Date Night collection. I'm focusing on brads today. One of my favorite ways to use them is as accents for the center of flowers.
Supplies: Paper (DN140S10, DN140S12, CN14SP002), Stickers (DN14EB02, DN14EB01), Brads (DN14EB06)
The flowers on the sticker sheet are beautiful on their own but you can add a little extra detail to them with the coordinating brads.
Tip: If you don't like punching a hole to place the brad through, simply fold out the prongs of the brad so it will lay flat and adhere to your project with a glue dot. I like the extra detail that it gives to the brad too.
Hi there! Allie here, and I'm excited to share a layout with you today! I don't know about you, but when I think of Summer, I think of THE BEACH! I decided to use Date Night to make a fun layout about our trip to the beach last year! I made my own background using the Date Night stamps and patterned paper. I love the unique and fun look it gives the page! I cut the title out for the lovely foil paper to make it extra special. So fun!
Hi Chickaniddy fans! Amanda here today with some fun Fourth of July decor. I love summer BBQs and outdoor parties! These little paper lanterns are easy to make and would make lovely table decor, or even a fun gift.
Die cut paper lanterns from silver foil to use as Fourth of July decor or as a fun trinket for the kids. Use them as part of a table setting or even string a bunch together to make a custom strand of lights.
Light the lanterns with an electronic tea light. Small, electronic tea lights will fit into the top of the lantern, but the bottom of the lantern also opens up allowing you to insert a larger electronic light if needed. Give lanterns to the kids to carry around as they stay up late watching fireworks.
The silver foil paper die cuts really well in a Silhouette. Even the tiniest of details cuts perfectly and doesn't leave any little snags or tears.
Good day all! Pam with you sharing this month's color scheme! I adore the colors that Heidi selected for this color challenge, between the pinks, oranges and mint. Let's see what the craft girls did with these colors!
Diane is our first scrapper. See what she made!
"Hi everyone, Diane here! I love the color palette this month...it coordinated perfectly with a recent photo of my daughter in her prom dress with her Dad!
I followed the color scheme closely with only the addition of some grey patterned paper and gold foil paper.
Using the Grandma's Quilt patterned paper from the Twirly Girly collection I simply cut apart the design and placed them under my photo. I cut my title from gold foil paper using my Silhouette and typed a few words underneath the title and finished it all off with a couple butterflies.
Laurie created a card for the challenge. Let's see her card!
"What a fabulous color combo we were given this month! The first thing I thought of was "Summer"! The fresh green, coral, and pinks were just begging to be combined I think! I chose to create a mostly white card using the colors as accents. I thought this kept the "Summer" feel that I was going for. I die cut the scripty "hi" using the Silver Surfer Chickaniddy Foil paper. I know I've mentioned this before, but I just adore how cleanly the foil paper cuts! I also love how the light catches and shimmers off of it!
Supplies: Date Night Sticker Sheet (DN14EB02), Backwoods Lovin' Paper (DN140S10), Never Grow Up paper (TG140S11), Twirly Girly Enamel Hearts (TG14EB07), Twirly Girly Sentiments - Mini Stickers (TG14EB05), Twirly Girly Sticker Sheet (TG14EB02), Silver Surfer Foil (CN14SP002)"
Meredith is up last but not least.. with a card!
"If you've ever spent time on my blog, you know how I feel about stamping my own background patterns... It's my favourite thing to do when I'm in the craft room. The irony is the amount of patterned paper I collect, of course, but for me, nothing beats sitting down with a few stamps and some ink and making magic.
So you can imagine I was just waiting for an opportunity to do just that with my Chickaniddy stamps! Each of the 2 collections has its own stamp set, so I combined the flowers in both sets to create my background.
This month's colour combo was perfect, so I set to it!
And I am *so* in love with how it turned out. And also how these colours lend themselves so perfectly to the beautiful gold foil paper. A few little heart die cuts and some of the enamel hearts finished everything off!
Stamps: DN14ST01, TG14ST01"
Didn't you just love those projects! I hope you are able to use this color scheme.
Hello! It's Kathy Martin here to share a card with you using Chickaniddy's gorgeous foil paper. To give wedding cards and stationery an extra touch of glamour you can run your foil paper through an embossing folder or impression plate to make it look like a fancy metal accent!
Supplies: Silver Foil Paper (CN14SP002) Paper (DN140S05, DN140S06) Stickers (DN14EB02) Enamel Hearts (DN14EB07) Clear Stamps (DN14ST01)
Chickaniddy's foil paper works beautifully with embossing folders, showing off every detail!
I have quite a few folders that I've forgotten about until recently...time to dust 'em off and put them to good use!
Additional card accents include a pretty white bow and dazzling 10 karat diamond ring! 😉
Easily turn this save the date design into a wedding congratulations card just by changing the sentiment. So many options! Happy crafting!
Happy Summer, Chickaniddy fans! Amanda here today with a super sweet project and a fun bonus freebie! Wedding season is in full swing, but it's not too late to create customized party favors. This little oven box will make your wedding guests go gaga!
Wouldn't this little oven gift box make a lovely wedding favor? The silver foil paper gives the oven a stainless steel appearance (super trendy). You can easily customize the gift box with your wedding colors and fill it with any sweet party favor.
Ohmygosh! There's a cupcake inside! This little oven cupcake box measures just 3" wide and is the perfect size for a standard sized cupcake. The little cupcake insert helps keep the cupcake from getting squished on the sides of the box.
I used brads from both the Twirly Girly and Date Night collections to create the dials on the oven. The little clock brad is so perfect for this little oven! I also used stickers from both collections to create the burners on the stove.
I added a sweet little love banner using stickers from the Date Night collection. To keep them from sticking to the oven, I gently brushed some corn starch over the back of the sticker.
BONUS! Click HERE to download a FREE oven cupcake box cut file (PDF, SVG, and .studio3)!
Have fun cutting!

Ok, everyone ..it's time for our June Card Sketch. I had fun creating this card sketch and envisioning how the craft team would use it 😉 . Let's see how the craft team uses, alters and changes up this card!
Kathy is up first with the task to use it.
Supplies: Gold Foil Paper (CN14SP001) Paper (TG140S05; TG140S12) Stickers (TG14EB02) Mini Sticker Sentiments (TG14EB05) Enamel Hearts (TG14EB07)
"I had to laugh when I finished this card...it reminds me of all those funny Ryan Gosling quotes! 😉
I'm a big fan of Pam's sketches, I always get beautiful results with them!
I just thought of another idea for this card....you could use another green enamel heart to dot the i of the sentiment. Or a brad. I never run out of ideas with all the accent choices Chickaniddy offers!"
Leigh changed the card up a bit. See what she created below!
"Today, I am sharing a card that I made using this month's card sketch at Chickaniddy Crafts. I decided to tweak the card and didn't add the rectangular strip on the left hand side. Here's my card:
Supplies: 12x12 Gold Foil Paper (CN14SP001); Twirly Girly 6x6 Collection Pad (TG14PD01), Twirly Girly Paper (TG14OS04, TG14OS08), Sticker Sheet (TG14EB02)
I started with a solid piece of patterned paper as my background. To this, I added a piece of the Goldie Lox Foil Paper and then a piece of paper from the Twirly Girly Paper Pad. I die cut some more Gold Foil paper using a die and slipped the star journaling card behind it. I added the "girlie" sticker, along with some star stickers to finish it off.
I love that shine!
Tip: when I adhered my "girlie" sticker, I used some foam adhesive to give it a little dimension."
Lastly, Savannah changed it. Let's see what she did with the sketch.
If you follow me-- then you know that my favorite thing to do for "sketch challenges" is to CHANGE IT! And that's what I've done for my card today. I think I followed the sketch about 65%-- that's more than last time:) Here's a photo of how I changed the sketch.
I created a fun design on the left side of my card using the Goldie Lox papers. I love that fringe! I think this would be a perfect card for a wedding!
I really really REALLY love this card! I love that I was able to use the scraps from my previous creations (posted on the 17th) to create a matching card for a wedding! Now I just need someone to get married so I can give them this card:)
I hope that you will try and change the June Chickaniddysketch for your next creation!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:)"
Hope you have a great day! Let this card sketch inspire you on your next card.
Hello, friends:) Savannah O'Gwynn here today, and I've created a special video for you today:)
I'm sharing how I've created 2 cards for a wedding theme. The first card is a CAS Save the Date design and could be EASILY reproduced! The second card has a great design for either a wedding shower or for the special day itself. I've used the ChickaniddyDate Night collection for both cards.
Here's the video (****be sure to change your settings to HD before watching):
Here are some tips for creating wedding themed cards/creations:
For EASY reproducible cards- use a large die cut image with a sentiment
If you don't know the "colors" of the wedding, try mixing and matching several colors and designs together.
Make your cards for the wedding perfect for both the bride and the groom. It's best to create a more feminine card for the bridal shower:)
I really love these cards! My favorite part is that they match! That diamond ring die cut is PERFECT for both designs! ****And stay tuned because I will use it again on my project that will be posted on the 19th of this month! LOVE!
