What a blast we had at CHA and I have to say that we enjoyed every minute! Meeting so many new friends and the amazing support in which we received was so heartwarming. From the moment the doors opened on Saturday we were slammed and tried to keep up with it all until Monday. By Tuesday many people went home and it was nice to have a calmer day.
I think the best part was how fast our booth came together. Last year it took forever and this year we had a system and get it all done in 1 1/2 days. When all the decor was in place I finished the look with fresh flowers, mainly because they smell so good and I love the extra pop of color. One funny thing that took place was our catalog for the show could be camouflaged in our darling Meghann's shirt. We all had a good laugh about it.
Over all the show was a BIG hit and you will be seeing all of our new collections in MANY shops and before I go I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Meghann, Abbie, and Autie for working in our booth and being so wonderful. Thank you Mr. Sonboul and Brandon for getting those walls up and down. I also want to thank all of the new friends made at this show and all of you who have blogged about our new collections and booth. My heart is full and just for fun I'll say it one last time.... Happy Birthday Chickaniddy!
HAPPY NEW YEAR Friends! If you ask me, I feel like this year is going to be the BEST year EVER and I'm kinda excited that we are starting the month off right! On Jan 9th- 13th we will be at the 2015 Winter CHA Show in Anaheim Ca and we have some really fun plans. So let's get down to business

Project of the Month - This month I was so impressed by this darling idea. Carson on our Craft Team created a mini album to celebrate the first year of her son's life. What a great way to document your memories in a small portable album. This would make the best gift for a proud grandparent. To view the full post, check out the project on the sidebar or click here.

Hi there! Leigh here with a "thankful for you" card to share today using some fabulous Scrumptious patterned paper, die cuts and stickers...
Supplies: Scrumptious 12x12 patterned paper (SC14OS02, SC14OS08), Die Cut Tags (SC14EB04), Illustration Stickers (SC14EB01), mini-brads (SC14EB08), Alphabet Stickers (SC14EB02)
1. I started with some Home Sweet Home patterned paper as my background -- I just love this colour!
2. I decided to frame my sentiment with this super fun slide frame die cut. I die cut the "thankful for" from the back of the Friends and Family patterned paper and added the "YOU" using Scrumptious alphabet stickers.
3. A little tip: Don't hesitate to use different elements to add layers to your cards. On my card I mixed a pre-printed die cut with a die cut I made myself from the Friends & Family patterned paper and a sticker from the sheet of Scrumptious Illustrated stickers.
4 Lastly, I tied some twine around my leaf stems and added a mini-brad.
While the air is getting crisp, we at Chickaniddy have been working like busy little bees and here are a few things we have been up to:
CHA winter - it is just a few months away and the plans are already in full swing. Collections are heading off to the printers and designs for booth themes are coming along. This year will mark 1 full year of being in business, which means we need to party and celebrate. As we get closer to January, I will make sure to share some sneaks.
I Spy With My Little Eye - Chickaniddy in your local shops! Over this past month we have seen a few friends sharing images made with our goodies. It's fun seeing the product being used and loved. With each new project popping up, Pam and I just Oooo and Awww over everything. Remember if you have created something, please make sure to tag #Chickaniddy on instagram or post on our Facebook page. If you haven't yet seen Chickaniddy in your local shop, make sure to tell the owners about us 🙂
Kits Clubs - We felt so blessed to see so many clubs add us to their beautiful kits. Gossamer Blue and Scrapbook Circle made amazing kits with our product and it's already almost out of stock. If you order one of their monthly kits and make something, we would love to see! Again, please make sure to tags us on instagram or share it on Facebook.
Designer Spotlights - We are looking for designer spotlights, so again if you have made something with Chickaniddy products, share it with us. We can't wait to see what you have made. Those that send in work, might get featured on the blog.
Project of The Month - This month's Craft Team Member Project of the month winner is.... Cassandra Chen. There were so many amazing projects this month and it was really hard to choose, but Cassandra's wall decor was layered in such a beautiful way that it was a clear winner. Congrats Cassandra! Your project will go up on the side bar and you will receive a gift card tomorrow.
This month's Sneaky Peeks -
And for fun here is a fast project I've made. I wanted to celebrate fall for the boys, so I put together a little treat box loaded with candy and school holiday erasers. Perfect for any kid! To see how I made them head over to my blog. HAPPY OCTOBER EVERYONE! I hope this is a fun and spooky month for you and your family!
Over this past 3 months I have had a very active schedule packed with managing the fast growth of Chickaniddy, which has been incredible! In fact everyone at Chickaniddy has been super busy and while our dear coordinator Pam has been doing an amazing job carrying out the craft team assignments here on the blog, I have been working non stop on the newest collections and guess what... I am ready to give a BIG sneak peek here.
I know that most companies traditionally won't release their collection's names until they are closer to a show, but I just can't help it... I have to share! It's more so because I love these new collections and I'm pretty sure you will too.
First up is Scrumptious. Coming up with this name was so fun and the collection is stuffed with everything you love about fall. From holidays to playing in the leaves, it's a vivid splash of autumn colors. As always my focus was to create an everyday collection, with the theme of fall.
And second is this charming new addition to our company called the Jolly Good collection. It has so many illustrations, which I had the greatest time creating. Have I mentioned before that I love my job and that I feel so blessed to be crafting for a living?! Jolly Good is an everyday winter collection full of joy and happiness. From Christmas to New Year's, it celebrates the excitement and spirit of that time of year. Oh and there is a fun weather undertone to it. The colors as you can see are rich and perfect for all your holiday traditions.
So until the 4th week in July feel free to share these logos with friends and your local scrapbook shops. Thanks so much again for all your support in helping Chickaniddy grow. It means so much to us!
While all of the Chickaniddy employees are off enjoying the weekend, I am home sick with my little Calvin. Poor Guy has the beginning of bronchitis. So I thought I would share this card by Heidi Van Laar. It's the cutest card and perfect for February. I personally am so over the heavy pink and red color combos, so this card is a fresh take on L.O.V.E. Here is what Heidi said about her card:
"Hi there, Heidi Van Laar here with a sweet little love card created with the Date Night collection. Date Night is such a complete collection that you can easily make a card using very little in the way of additional tools or supplies. Chickaniddy's fabulous Silver Surfer foil paper, some plain old white cardstock and foam tape were the only additions I made here, and the only tools I used beyond the basic cutter and glue were a small circle punch and a corner rounder...so easy"!
Supplies: Paper (Date Night A Girl's Best Friend, Date Night Backwoods Lovin, Date Night Wallflower, Date Night 6x6 pad, Date Night Illustration Stickers, Date Night Enamel Hearts, Date Night Mini Sticker Banners, Date Night Alpha Stickers), Silver Surfer, Other: corner rounder, 1/2" circle punch, white cardstock, foam tape
"I love that the Silver Surfer foil paper is so versatile. Here I used it with a circle punch to help highlight an Enamel Heart. I absolutely LOVE these tiny Enamel Hearts! Here I paired them with a couple of Sticker Banners. They're so sweet, I could almost eat them"!
To celebrate this day of romance and love, I have 3 sweet treats for you. First is this card that I made for CHA. It's using the Twirly Girly collection and right in the middle of the card is this yummy donut. I mean... who doesn't love a donut... right?! The second treat is an audio interview I was asked to do. I had the best time chatting with Renee from Scrap Owl. She asked me a lot of fun questions and had a good laugh or two. Here is the link to the interview. Hint... Hint...I gave a lot of insider scoop and it's about 45 minutes long, but worth the time.
The third sweet treat is that we are doing 2 GIVEAWAYS today! The first giveaway is with the Scrap Owl. Leave a comments here, follow our site (on the right side bar) and visit their site. Once you've done all those things, you will be entered to win this Twirly Girly Collection kit.
The second giveaway is to celebrate Valentine's Day and romance in the air. Again... leave a comments here and follow our site (on the right side bar). Once you've done all those things, you will be entered to win this Date Night Collection kit. You will have now until Monday to do so, so don't wait. On Tuesday I'll will announce our 2 lucky winners.
I hope you enjoy the interview and Thanks Renee for having Chickaniddy!
I'm back today with a trendy card to share and this time it's from Heidi Van Laar. Here is what she had to say about it.
"I love so much that Chickaniddy included matching stamps as part of their collections! Lemme tell you these stamps are such a pleasure to work with too. I know we have all probably had the displeasure of working with the substandard stamps that come with some scrapbook collections, not so with these guys. They are Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y, comparable to any of the industry leaders and the images are so fun! Just look at the big ole diamond ring I created here...what girl wouldn't want that? 😉 What's really fun about this image is that it's actually two. The diamond and ring are separate which gives you so many more options! Here I stamped them together, embossed them in silver, colored with marker, then cut the image out".
Supplies: Chickaniddy: Date Night Dance Party, Date Night Dance School, Date Night Cutest Couple, Date Night Clear Stamps, Date Night Brads, Silver Surfer Other:
pinking shears, navy cardstock, Silver pigment ink, silver embossing powder, markers
"Though I wanted my diamond ring to be the star of this card, I couldn't resist adding a few Date Night Brads. That flower...LOVE! Creating this little cluster was so easy and little details like this just make me happy"!
Don't you just love that diamond?! Can I have one that size in real life? lol
