Hello! Tessa Buys here with a not-so-spooky Halloween decor idea. With little ones, we like to keep Halloween fun and cute at our house. Because a lot of the decor out on the market is a little too dark for us, I enjoy creating my own decor with things like the Scrumptious line.
Supplies used: Nutmeg paper (SC14OS07), Pumpkin Spice paper (SC14OS03), Corn on the Cob paper (SC14OS12), Mini Brads (SC14EB08), tulle, felt, floral wire, vintage leaves.
This is the chalkboard in my kitchen. Even though chalk art is fun and pretty, I thought it would be even better to dress it up with a garland of Halloween-colored flowers and vintage, velvet leaves.
I used my manual die cut machine to cut flowers in various sizes from Scrumptious patterned paper, wool felt, netting, wrinkled tulle, and glittered tulle. I made each flower by layering the felt, paper, and tulle, then securing with a Scrumptious brad.
I made an arch out of floral wire, then used my hot glue gun to attach the flowers and vintage leaves.
I love how the tulle gives the flowers a spooky look, but they are far from scary and instead rather darling.
If you are looking for something cute instead of macabre, try a vase or garland of Scrumptious-inspired flowers. Thanks for stopping by!
