Hello, it's Amy here with a card that focuses on flowers! I'm like most crafters and love working with blooms. They are perfect for any season, especially for spring time cards!
TIP: Incorporate the contrasting borders of 12x12 paper
As a cardmaker, I tend to gravitate towards the 6x6 paper pads, but do love 12x12 sheets too. I work to get more out of a sheet of paper by using the border trim that 12x12's have. Who doesn't love polka dots?!
Even though the base panel has a subtle pattern to it, I decided to add a bit more texture to my card by using a stencil and light modeling paste.

I love the large print of 12x12 paper. It makes it a snap to fussy cut shapes, like these blooms:

The center bloom has been adhered to the card using foam adhesive giving the design a bit of interest.
To add a bit of rustic charm to my card, I added some twine.
TIP: By hole punching semi-circles to your card, it will help anchor twine.
I used a sentiment strip as a tag and threaded the twine through the top.

I think that the twine is a nice touch with the picnic basket.
So, what about you? Are you a flower fan?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
