August Color Scheme

Happy Monday all! Today's color scheme is all about summer. When Heidi put this together, I think she was thinking summer.. from the bright pink to the yellow to the bright green! So happy and fun. Let's see how two of the craft girls used this color scheme.

First up is Allie with her layout!

"I love this month's color challenge! I couldn't wait to use the bright, fun colors on a layout!
I used quite a bit of Twirly Girly and mixed it with the fun silver foil! To make this page, I chose a large cut file from the Silhouette Store, meant to be a wall vinyl. I was able to preserve the detail by enlarging it and making it the focus of the page. I love using cut files in unexpected ways!  I used three small photos and created layering clusters around each one. Easy peasy!!

I love backing cut files with fun patterned papers, like these pretty ones from the Twirly Girly collection! And that's all there is too it! Thanks for letting me share!"

Laurie used this color scheme as well and her card turned out like this!

"I first thought that this would be a challenging color combo for me, but when I sat down to create it all sort of flowed!  I really love the different pops of color and plan on using this combo again!  I embossed the silver foil paper with a butterfly embossing folder and then slightly sanded it so that the butterflies would stand out more.  I then layered on all the embellishments."

Supplies:  Paper (TG140S07 This and That, TG140S11 Never Grow Up, CN14SP002 Silver Surfer Foil Paper), Stickers (DN14EB04 Tags/Mini Stickers, DN14EB02 Sticker Sheet), Embellishments (DN14EB06 Brads)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
